Spa Asia Vietnamese Martial Arts and Unicorn Dance at SpaAsia!
SpaAsia is a must-visit event for all enthusiasts of cars and motorcycles "with an Asian touch." However, the event goes beyond the motoring world; it aims to provide a true immersion in Asian culture in the broadest sense. This year, it promises to deliver an exciting spectacle once again!
On Sunday, July 13th, an energetic event will ignite the paddock of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: Vietnamese martial arts will take centre stage, featuring two impressive demonstrations by an experienced local team.
Led by masters Lê Huu Dai and Philippe Knuts (6th dan), the group operates in the regions of Liège, Aywaille, and Blegny. They will showcase Vovinam Viêt Dao, the national Vietnamese martial art that combines elements of kickboxing, freestyle wrestling, dodging techniques, and spectacular moves rooted in the Vietnamese resistance against the Mongol invasions.
Another highlight of the weekend will be the Unicorn Dance, a festive, symbolic, and colourful tradition that promises to delight both young and old.
