Spa Asia SpaAsia treated itself to an excellent second vintage!

With the weather more than ever in summer mode, and a well-established concept, this was all that was needed to make the second edition of SpaAsia a resounding success. This last Sunday a horde of passionate enthusiasts headed on down to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, proof that this major gathering of fans of Asian cars and motorcycles has definitely reached its cruising speed. True to say that once again DG Sport had taken great care of the overall package …

Satisfaction was clearly on the books, Florian Jupsin, in the name of DG Sport commented. Excellent attendance, and the sun, which had sulked during the first edition, definitely made up for it! There were loads of great cars and motorcycles in the paddocks, in a wide variety of styles. It was fun, and exactly what we had wished for. SpaAsia is a unifying event where all lovers of cars and motorcycles emanating from Asia need to come together …”

Throughout the day there was no shortage of highlights, with a Best of Show being a resonating success. The Globe of Death, performed by the Infernal Varanne Riders was truly impressive, appreciated by young and old alike. What can one say about the Car Parade; it was quite simply superb. As for the Spa and Furious phenomenon, involving drag races between the Raidillon and the Source, it will be echoed during the third edition. The joy of hearing powerful roaring engines was a hit, and this first attempt has given competitors loads of ideas for the future …

Following on from this second edition, we can already announce that SpaAsia will have an episode #3 next summer, Florian Jupsin continued. As tradition would have it, we have observed, taken the temperature, spoken to many people, and already have plenty of ideas in the pipeline for 2024. SpaAsia is on the right track, and it is up to us to make it travel even faster. In the meantime, our thanks to one and all for your omnipresence and infectious enthusiasm!”
